Hi, my name is Amanda Wilton-Morales, and I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. I’ve always been passionate about connecting with others and making a positive impact in my community. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, as well as two master’s degrees—one in Organizational Leadership and another in Clinical Mental Health. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Health Science. My work is rooted in empathy, growth, and meaningful connection. I look forward to the opportunity to support and serve you.

Hi, I’m Abass Conteh, also known as “Mr. Reliable.” I serve as the Director of Admissions and Business Development at Elevated Wellness Clinic, where I bring structure, clarity, an open mind, and a hands-on approach to everything I do. I’m friendly, kind, and engaging, always making people feel comfortable and heard. I genuinely care about others, and I’m always available to lend a hand. Whether I’m working behind the scenes, directly with our clients, or collaborating with our community partners, I’m fully committed to keeping things running smoothly and helping improve lives in meaningful ways.

Deborah Johnson, CSC-AD | Addiction Counselor
Deborah Johnson is a dedicated and compassionate substance abuse counselor with extensive years of experience helping individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. With a strong background in mental health and addiction recovery.
Her work is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a deep commitment to supporting clients through every stage of recovery. Deborah has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient treatment centers, residential facilities, and community outreach programs. She is known for creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to address the root causes of their addiction and build sustainable coping strategies.

Christopher Nemuis, CAC-AD | Addiction Counselor
Christopher Nemuis is a licensed substance abuse counselor who brings a calm, steady presence to the often-challenging journey of addiction recovery. With a deep understanding of the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of substance use disorders, Christopher focuses on client-centered care that promotes lasting change.
He has worked extensively with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, using a combination of therapeutic methods including relapse prevention planning, group facilitation, and individualized behavioral counseling. Christopher is particularly skilled at helping clients navigate co-occurring disorders and life transitions that impact sobriety.

Vernon Johnson is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and Registered Peer Supervisor with a passion for empowering individuals on their recovery journey. Drawing from his own lived experience, Vernon brings authenticity, empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those navigating mental health and substance use recovery.
With extensive years in the peer support field, Vernon has become a trusted leader in creating recovery-oriented environments that prioritize dignity, respect, and self-determination. As a Peer Supervisor, he mentors and guides other peer specialists, fostering professional growth while ensuring the delivery of ethical, strengths-based support services.
Vernon is known for his ability to build genuine connections, facilitate peer-led groups, and advocate for recovery-friendly practices in both clinical and community settings. He is also active in training initiatives, working to expand the reach and impact of peer services across diverse populations.

Drawing strength from her personal journey, Polynexi offers a unique perspective that helps bridge the gap between clinical services and the real-life challenges of recovery.
She specializes in providing peer-to-peer support that emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and connection. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, Polynexi creates a safe and supportive space where people feel seen, heard, and encouraged to take control of their recovery process.
Polynexi is deeply engaged in recovery advocacy and community outreach, helping to reduce stigma and promote mental health awareness. She is especially passionate about supporting underserved communities and ensuring that recovery resources are accessible to all.

Kinley Millett, LMSW | Therapist
Ms. Kinley Millett, an empathetic psychotherapist, offers her expertise at Elevated Wellness Clinic in Hyattsville, MD.
She offers a range of services, including providing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) counseling, bereavement/grief counseling, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Holding a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Ms. Millett combines academic knowledge with a compassionate approach in her practice.

Mr. Misher is committed to ensuring his patients enjoy happier and healthier lives. To that end, he works closely with each one, helps them identify healthy coping strategies, and discusses how they can make better choices for their mental health.

Emily Becker, LGPC | Therapist & Alcohol and Drug Trainee
Ms. Emily Becker is a warm, friendly, and trustworthy psychotherapist. As part of her formal education, she earned a Master’s degree in Criminology from Penn West University and a Post Master’s Certificate in Rehabilitative Counseling from Coppin State University. Ms. Becker is an active standing Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) as well as an Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) in the state of Maryland.
Ms. Becker virtually counsels patients from various communities and backgrounds, with co-occurring diagnoses via Elevated Wellness Clinic. Her experience and training allows for each patient to receive customized care to address their specific concerns.
Ms. Becker approaches therapy from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective to address patients’ mental health and substance abuse concerns. Ms. Becker aims to help patients find realistic goals to their solutions to overcome everyday life challenges.

Mariama Saffa holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Boston College and is a licensed clinical social worker with nearly a decade of experience in the field. She brings a strong clinical foundation to her work, specializing in supporting adults navigating trauma, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. Mariama is dedicated to helping individuals find strength, healing, and effective ways to cope with life’s challenges through culturally responsive and compassionate therapy.
In her practice, she also addresses relationship issues, work-related stress, and the emotional impact of social media—guiding clients in setting healthy boundaries, enhancing communication, and fostering personal growth in an increasingly connected world.

Hi, I’m Shakyra Howell, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a strong background in community-based mental health care. I’ve had the privilege of working in both Outpatient Mental Health Clinics (OMHC) and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs (PRP), supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health needs. I also have experience working in the forensics sector of mental health.
I specialize in working with adults and adolescents navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions. My therapeutic style is person-centered and collaborative, incorporating evidence-based approaches to help clients build resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve lasting personal growth.

I specialize in addressing cognitive functioning and emotional regulation, helping clients develop strategies to improve mental clarity, enhance resilience, and achieve sustainable wellness. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Carolyn Hoffmann is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and Washington, DC. She has been providing nonprofit and clinical services to clients since 2013. Her main focuses throughout her career have been PTSD, sexual violence, and mental health therapy. Carolyn’s focus as the Clinical Director is supporting and supervising staff to ensure clients are met with high-quality care and respect.
